Victory Part 1

We always think that if we will win then only we will be happy, oh its not just a thought, it happens too..

I just want to share a small story so that we can realize what is a real victory or whatever..

One day Corlen insisted her her dad to play chess with her. She was 10, but a brilliant student of class 6 and she loved to play chess. She won second prize in the last chess championship in her school by defeating class 10th Student. She just fell short in the final with class 12th Student. It was the touch match. Everybody in the school started knowing her by name and face as well. She became a celebrity in the school and why not, she defeated many senior class students in Chess. Chess is not an easy game.

When Corlen was 5 her grandfather Danial used to play chess in front of her, Danial had a very good hand in chess though he never participated in any chess competition. He loved to be alone, didn't want anyone ruin his privacy. But he was a brilliant mind, people come to ask him solution for their problem and his solution helped many. But still he never went in any public meet or celebration. Danial loved his grand child very much. In the old age of him, he tried to spent most of them with her. Always talking with her in any topic, though Corlen was just a little child, but she listened her grandfather talking, whether she understands or not. This helped very much in improving Corlen's brain, she was more intelligent than the children of her age, she became smarter. Corlen took deep curiosity in chess, she used to play with her grandfather and learn different strategies. Danial died when she was 9. It was tough for her to accept this truth. In the last time of Danial, he asked Corlen to get more involved with people, never be alone, take participation in competitions, parties, public meets, or you will become like me, alone. That time Corlen didn't understand the meaning of this, but once she keep thinking of this, she understood what her grandfather wanted to say. And then she decided to follow her grandfather's guidance.
When she heard about the competition, she was the first one to get registered, her teachers asked whether she really knows about the chess or not. They didn't know about her skills.

To be continued...
